LISTENING?
+ "Hello Beautiful You!"
Recently I saw a white moth attached to our screen door in the dark of night. How will I capture the picture? I'll have to try.
The lovely silent creature appeared filmy, almost angelic, dancing, reaching upward.
* Lately I have been in chrysalis~I feel like a little green lantern attached to a twig.
What's That?
Feels like a state of non being, jumbled, dazed, confused, mild flu like symptoms. Some others I know are also experiencing this " non sickness" including wandering pain especially in the hips. What is this?
I feel like I am being "rewired." [again]
Years ago, I felt achy and out of place for several days. I visited a friend, knowing I was not contagious. "You're being rewired so you can receive higher vibrations safely," she told me.
"What's rewiring?"
"What you are experiencing."
Handing me a book, she continued, "Rewiring is in this book along with other Angel Information. Someone gave me this book, but I believe it is for you~"
"Thank you~"
I look up the book entry again.
** Ask Your Angels by Alma Daniel:
"Wiring Angels upgrade our systems and increase our capacity for awareness....the process of rewiring can be unsettling and disorienting....if you have flu like symptoms but you don't have a fever, and you know you're not sick-you're probably being rewired...."
*** Randomly I open a Shirley MacLaine, book and read:
"What If our DNA is being activated into a new awareness?"
Are We Listening?

TAKING FLIGHT
* "Hello Gorgeous!"
** "How do you compare to the Butterfly?"
Chrysalis: A time of Change
"I am in chrysalis," I wonder to myself. What does this mean? Change is the only predictable event of the evolving moment. I feel myself wanting to rush ahead yet pull back at the same time, sort of like having one foot on the gas petal full throttle and the other slamming on the breaks all at once.
I was entranced that it took a couple of weeks for the first butterfly to emerge. I thought it was only a couple of days time. You can see a chrysalis in stillness just to the upper left of the first Monarch Butterfly emerging pictured above.
Growth: Caterpiller
Stillness: Chrysalis
Motion: Butterfly Emerging
*** Struggle Gives Strength
I saw these words in my mind. I open my book and search a bit. The words I wrote were not where I thought they were....but then I read:
Ghost in my Dream
Many years ago I wrote: "The dreamscape was painted in the surreal hard-edged style of Edward Hopper, so different from my preferred Impressionism. Edward Hopper's figures sometimes speak of loneliness and alienation whether they are solitary or in groups. Is this the way I feel?"
"Holding myself at arm's length and others even further away," my thoughts echo....
"Is the dream so that I can see myself clearer? Why would I want to? I feel that I have stepped back from myself so that I can get a fresh perspective about my personal healing journey." In the dream I was both the observer and the participant. [There's that chrysalis, a time of change, again.]
"I was painted grey, a foggy mist. The rest of the dream, especially the electric blue light, was photograph clear."
"With my writing and painting, i need space and distance from myself. Are we asking ourselves questions in dreams that we cannot confront while awake?"
To escape, I call my friend Louise.
She tells me this story.
"There was a laboratory experiment nurturing cocoons containing butterflies waiting to emerge. One was struggling to break out....The assistant grabbed the wings gently and pulled out the butterfly....The supervisor said, 'That butterfly will never fly. The struggle of trying to get out gives strength to the wings.' "
Receiving Strength~

JOURNEY OF BECOMING
Friends are hatching Monarch Butterflies in their home for release into the wild.
The Beginning
Hangin' Out
Searching: Out of the Box
Chrysalis: Overnight Magic
On my way into my writing zone today, I got a nudge of inspiration and made a 180 degree turn to pick up a book. I remembered some notes about butterflies. From many years ago, I quickly find....

"I stop to download an E-mail from Kathleen. I am surprised not not surprised to read:
'I was amazed and surprised at your book title, Silver Butterfly. Morphing means form [or] change form. In class I note the morpho family of butterflies and how the metamorphic change from cocoon to butterfly is so dramatic. Just like suddenly emerging to a higher spiritual level! Morphing comes from the Greek god Morpheus who is the god of sleep. Sleep involves dreams which have forms hence the connection to the term morph.' "
* "Caterpillar sheds It's skin to find a butterfly within."

then there is no mountain
then there is...."

OUT OF PAINT EXPERIENCE
Joey the Collie
While painting Linda's Peaceful Mountain painting, we talked about Joey, Linda's blue merle Collie. Linda loved Joey but there was sparse room for a big active dog who needed to run over larger spaces. Joey was given to a farm. Joey received and gave much love and joy with his family. He loved the children. Linda and Tom visited Joey at his new home~joyful.
"What does Joey look like?"
"He has a large white full collar. He is mostly black except for his face. It has grey and black speckles with tan over eyes and on cheeks."
I remembered, * "Shades of grey from smoke to pearl, mottled with black is called blue merle."
"Do you have photos of Joey?"
"They are in storage, somewhere." I can relate to "photos somewhere...."
I pondered Joey the Collie. I love Joey the Collie. I rewound memories of joyous portraits of many collies painted through the years. My own Collies, Lad and Sky, paraded in front of my eyes.
"Is Joey with you when you meditate in your vision?"
"Sometimes he is there and sometimes not."
I felt that.
While painting Linda's mountain vision, I felt Joey near the pond. One day I "found" him in the pond, a misty image in a vortex of light. I saw his ears and eyes first!
Black and White and Shades of Grey~
The day I finished Linda's painting, I had just sqeezed out some titanium white and black from their tubes. All the other colors on the palette had been used on Linda's mountain painting.
No Paint Left Behind!
Leftover Paint~can paint the best pictures. What will I paint with just "black and white and shades of grey?" Light Bulb: I'll paint Joey the Collie!
Select: The smallest canvas: 8" x 10"
Pick Up one medium sized chisel shaped brush: one brush wonder paints thick and thin lines or blocks of paint. Perfect~
First, I sketched in Joey's head with in my imagination with no paint on the brush, "placing" the image into the space. I close a profile view "easy." I need easy. Paint flowed out as if by magic. I felt gentle refreshing energy. I love bringing an animal friend to life with paint.
Five minutes later, I turn to the palette, brush in hand:
"I'm Out of Paint!"
"I'm having an Out of Paint Experience!"
"Quit!"
Free from touch up, re-working, or thinking Joey has arrived.
Effortless
Later when Linda and Tom came to view the finished mountain, they also noticed Joey.
"That's Joey~"
Joey gazes at Joey in the pond.
Note the images in Joey's painting, around the Collie's ears and down the side of the face we see a baby bird. I also see faces of a terrier, a lamb and a raccoon. Almost visible in the lower right grey painted area is a shadow of an eagle flying toward Joey. There may be more~"Calling All Animals."
