SILVER/BLUE!  You have come a long long way.

In 1985 Sept 23, Silver arrived as a waking vision.  Full moon out, leaves blowing storm on the way.  I was wide awake.  The flickering silver moonlight on the wall gradually changed into the shape of a butterfly.  What is this? Stirred, I rose and found a notepad (always handy) and began "writing" furiously, randomly, aimlessly.  What does it say?  A bit later in the year, I attended seminars where positive spiritual people could eat lunch they brought, separate to meditate.  Sometimes I drew pictures, meditation made easy.  Then we all came back together and related our experiences if we wished.  

When I was very young, I had a farm set in the attic in the early 1950's.  All the small animals were hand painted. Dad showed me how.  The farm had many Collie figurines.  Name, Sunnybrook Farm: "I lived in Iowa" in my imagination.  In the 1980's, our young family really lived in Iowa!  We owned a Collie named Sky.  We looked for a good boarding kennel. Someone mentioned "Sunnybrook Kennels!"  So, I drove down the road with the dog and "saw" my little farm come to life!  Holstein Cows and all!  I felt like I was "home."

"That's a book!" someone in the group spoke.

And so it was/is, I started to write and write and write on scraps of paper.  24 Years later we self-published: 

SILVER BUTTERFLY, CREATE A VISION, AWAKEN YOUR CREATIVE SPIRIT  

Then Blue Butterfly came along.  She went " live" on Sept. 26, 2010:

OUT OF THE BLUE, CREATING CONTINUOUS MIRACLES

The name came in while I was hiking up a sandy hillside path with trees on each side.  I liked online writing, free of extra fees and selected a path into creative, inspirational, visionary writing.  The stories lead me around and around, A-Z "Angels to Zebras."

TONE POEM

 Where did the words come from? 

"Out of Nowhere"

While writing a letter to a friend, I searched briefly for a poem to share.  The poem was about horses dancing and playing together.  The poem had vanished! I did not write the poem, but it was marked "Author Unknown."

I said inside myself: "Well I guess you're not supposed to send that poem."

SO!  I grabbed a couple of large pieces of writing paper and sat in front of "a blank page."  Words and thoughts started to mix in, sort of like cooking in progress. 

WORLDS OF WORDS swirled around complete with images.  Tone poem "appeared" like a musical composition.  I remembered Tone Poems from Music History Class in college.  The poem came out in sections, these can be read together, or separately as needed.

TONE POEM

                                              PEACE

I am at peace with the center of my being.  

I am at one with the harmony of song.

I see and feel the wonders and sounds of Nature.

                                       GIVING THANKS

                          I give thanks for all animals and creatures

                                             Soul Friends:

Extending a helping paw,

Purr and Rub, 

A gentle neigh, 

                             "We are 'hear' to listen."

The butterfly flits in short bursts of action.

The birds and insects call back and forth.

The Hootie Owl chants at night.

                                     SHIFTING LIGHTS

             I relish the transitions of first light to full Sunrise

                                                      Sunset

                                     Twilight 

I feel and see the comforting blanket of moon, stars, and planets at night.

I treasure the Earth and her "thin blue line" of protection.

              I imagine the cosmos and worlds unknown, yet undiscovered.

                                          EARTH LOVE 

                               

I am another part of the whole picture: rocks, water, crystals, insects, 

Sea creatures, sea and land plants with all kinds and colors!

Sounds yet unheard

                                          LIFE SUPPORT

I think of networks of trees of various species giving mutual aid to each other, 

Underground and above ground trees, reach out to help.

Trees sending prayers of light and color with love for Earth and Beyond.

Leaves glow with green and gold healing.

"Thats a prayer going up!" 

                                    

                                            LIFE FINDS A WAY

Look and feel into the beyond

New Adventures Await!

THE CARPENTER

THE CARPENTER, ORIGINAL POEM BY * ZOE

Hand Hewn Wooden Door

Forward:  How can we be grounded yet reach for the sky at the same time?  

Read the poem then see the pictorial comments I experienced while reading the words:

"Calloused skin

wrapped around

knotted knuckles

joints locked by the cruel march of time.

Yellowed chips of nail

Jutting out of twisted fingertips, unkempt and 

uncared for.

Frustrated fingers

unable to function,

mourning what it was to hold and be held.

Twitching fingers, puffy and pale

purples and periwinkles flowering 

around barely visible knuckles.

Tiny tendrils spreading slowly 

like cracks in dry wall.  

Restless hands pound,

stretching the rosettes, 

the tendrils longer and darker. 

Stubby nails flash as fingers splay, 

clench and abruptly huff away."

A Mind-Full Movie, full of rebirth and possibilities emerged in my Imagination.

I feel and see a retired carpenter. I can even picture his energy aura as he enters his wood/shop/workshop and sighs.  He is emitting golden light.  

The Carpenter peers out the sunny window into the yard/garden of long ago.

He sees and caresses wooden creations he has made, chairs, carvings (mostly of owls) tables of all types still in full use, picture frames and more. He picks up his carving tools and sees other equipment, ready for use and of course in perfect condition.

All of these make him feel warm and loved.  The carpenter's delight is knowledge of colors and textures of wood and wood grains, images project beyond wood itself. 

 Open Your Imagination!

"Now" he pictures a new owl carving emerging from a wooden block.  He loves the feel of raw wood as a painter loves the touch of canvas and brushes.  He paints too.

The carpenter feels comfort, discovery, and connection.  He smiles and chuckles.

                                          WOOD/WORK and PLAY

Next the man turns and looks at his hand made picture frames of all types and sizes: 

The Carpenter's walls sparkle with living color he has brought to life with paint.  Nature pictures and animal friends, bird images, a kitty smiling in the grass, a puppy romps with joy. Plant life, wild and tame The rabbit, the squirrel, an owl friend appears.  Brushes and palette knives, fan brushes, filberts, bouncer brushes and more greet him and wait impatiently to be taken from their glass storage jars and used again and again.  

Paints wait in sealed organized order to be removed swiftly and immediately at a moment's notice.  He intuitively knows where each canvas, color, and tube of paint are stored.  

Carving and Painting are quite alike, he thinks.

Paintings by friends and family are also on the walls.  Each painting unique, each painting or drawing or photo emits its own frequencies and spectrums. The carpenter crafted wooden frame to match or contrast as needed.

DREAM WALKER

What is it like walking through a dream?  

As if you REALY are There?

A friend had an experience recently.  As he was sitting quietly and calm, he felt "asleep" yet could picture all the sounds and scents of a past memory, in detail.

"I could feel the soft path of sand and dried leaves, crunching quietly underfoot as I walked through the lush green forest.  I looked skyward, soft gentle blue and wisps of white filmy clouds greeted me.  As the forest parted, I entered an open area.  I heard bird calls and insects like crickets and maybe even some small forest creatures rustling at the edge of the tree area.  A young squirrel appeared and hastened up a tree trunk to hide away and watch from a safe high place.  

I trot down the familiar path into a more expansive scene with sunshine and wildflowers.  Butterflies and grasshoppers greeted me. I saw birds in the high trees nearby. I heard them call out, a warning or greeting?   

Bright sun showcased the surrounding trees in a pond, shimmering water reflections and refractions reminded me of Claude Monet's Water Lily Series.  Surface and Depth all at once, mirrors of life appeared.  

I glanced up and saw an ancient grist mill, still in operation. I know it well, I saw the familiar solid stone walls of support and the Mill Wheel, round and perfect as always.  I felt solidity and fluidity all at once, a harmony of sound, color, remembering, and dreams, present, past, future.

I slowly woke up and felt relaxed and calm."
