APPLIED CREATIVITY

"What if I were to draw my feelings?"

"What are my feelings?"

"I don't know"

"How would I draw them?"

"I don't know."

Emotional Creativity
"What does it feel like to be creative?"

"Step Outside Your Self"  "Being in the Zone."  "The Great Escape~"

"Music is Art for Your Ears," Ivy.

"I know I am in the zone when the music I'm playing while writing or painting disappears."

** "Have you ever felt oneness with anybody, anything?"

"I personally have felt many times as if I am nowhere or I am one with universal forces.  And have felt as if there is nothing like physical existence, just there are only invisible forces dancing to create illusions," Arvind Hirpara

MIST RISING

Cottage Morning

Atmospheric!

Harmonious blends of lights and darks appear and shift.
Stillness, Motion, and More~I am fully there, participating rather then viewing.

* "Our purpose is not to imitate the crane but to become it..."

Just this morning, the sun cut its path through thick clouds of ground mist, previews of coming attractions..

And now summer is melting into early autumn in the northern hemisphere....shifting light and color become poised for cooler temperatures and longer nights.

** I feel like I am visiting William Blake's Inn~I pick up the book and read:

The Marmalade Man Makes a Dance to Mend Us
"....Tiger, Sunflowers, King of Cats
Cow and Rabbit mend your ways.
I the needle, you the thread-
follow me through mist and maze...."

Then....Blake Leads a Walk on the Milky Way....

I chuckle:
Blake Tells the Tiger the Tale of the Tailor
"....On windy days and moonless nights
Blake wears a suit of shifting lights
The tailor now has grown so clever
He stitches light and dark together...."

 Mists of Time

I reflect:
** "Will you come?" said the sun.

"Soon," said the moon.

"How far?" said the star.

"I'm there," said the air.

For now, Wood Aster stars are still blooming here.

ABOVE AND BEYOND

Seeing Beyond:

At first it seems as if there is nothing on the horizon.

Look Again....

About midway in the photo and slightly to the left, a spire shadow appears, part of the Chicago skyline.  The big blue water rolls on, waves with green accents, horizon clouds tinged with a bits of pink and lavender with purest blue brushed above.  The golden days of Lake Michigan are here.

What is on your horizon, just out of view?

"I don't know."

I welcome not knowing and being more in the present moment lately, enjoying participation in life, rather than observing it.

New Perspectives Are Here.

Same lake, different beach, different day.  Sky, horizon, water, and sand melt together.
Where do the little "white misty stripes" come from in the foreground?

"Unknown"

REJUVENATE

Mrs. Harris in her Cat Cave

* "Mrs. Harris is adorable, she is also ferocious...."

Many years ago, we got a tiny orange kitten and named her Mrs. Harris.  Her name came from a dream I had.  Her story, * Welcoming Mrs. Harris, was the first online publishing opportunity to open for me.

Several Years Ago:
Mrs. Harris began to weaken, she lost hair, appetite, motivation, even her voice became quiet, her coat was pale instead of bright orange.  Aging?

What to do?
A vet visit revealed a possible chronic treatable infection.  She also thought perhaps kidney weakness might be present.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Harris changed her diet!  Years ago, Mrs. Harris, to our dismay, only ate dry cat food and nothing else.  She loved plain yogurt, butter, and raw meat, but instantly became ill on any of those.  She did eat plain chicken thighs braised in extra virgin olive oil cut up fine and nothing else except some crushed cat vitamins sprinkled on her food.

After a while she disliked that~

In desperation we tried chicken breasts braised in olive oil.  She started eating again!  We realized the chicken breasts were not as nutritious.  But go with it~

"Mrs Harris doesn't eat cat food because she doesn't consider herself a cat...."

Gradually Mrs. Harris began to play with the bird on a stick and vocalize!  She even told us off~in long streams of cat words.  Today Mrs. Harris went to the glass door and said "Ahhhh-Wahhhh" drawing it out meaning "dog" is outside somewhere.  Twice today she said "Wow," one of her favorite words."  Mrrs. Harris' coat is thick and orange, she is alert and social, "amazing!"

Never a dull moment.

Mrs. Harris continues to delight us at age 14.  She is strong, agile, has gained weight and can jump high in the air after the cat toy.

Three days ago, Mrs. Harris actually ate some moist cat food for the first time in her life!

The Dog Who Ate Butter:
A friend told me about her dog.  The pet was diagnosed to live six months at best.

Her vet asked , "What's his favorite food?"

"Butter"

"Be sure he gets a butter treat every single day...."

"My dog lived two more years!"

 Footprints, Swim, and Beach Walk~

Beam of Energy
Feel the Qi

I feel I have been a bit MIA (missing in action) recently.  Or maybe this has been going on a long, long time?  Some of my friends feel it too.

Sifting through random notes (it's all random), I read:  "unified field, strong quantum energy transfers between people....photons....communicate with your animal with pictures in your head...." (smile).

"All of the above..."

I kick back and return within, a bit of rest, bits of paint and words, and breathing in music and silence.  It's working Focus is returning, feeling better after some ** "flu-like symptoms."  I am never a patient patient....
